Terraflame project, Sotkamo

GRM had a very interesting project at Terrafame's mine in Sotkamo.

We used the electroresistivity imaging (ERI) method to describe the flow (PLS,
partial least-squares) through the heaps.

This new information helps to optimize the multi-withdrawal process.

In other industrial environments, the method also helps to delineate horizontal and vertical changes in lithology, sediment size, permeability, soil moisture and phreate surfaces.
